Susan Harris Welker, AIA, founded Harris Welker Architects in 2004. Susan graduated in 1984 summa cum laude from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Architectural Technology. Susan also earned her Master of Architecture degree from the University of Houston in 1999. At graduate school, she was honored with the American Institute of Architect’s Henry Adams Certificate of Merit for Excellence in Education. Susan is a Registered Architect and Registered Interior Designer in Texas and is a LEED® Accredited Professional and NCARB certified.
She has served on the Executive Boards of American Institute of Architects (AIA), Austin Chapter and Wild Basin Nature Preserve. She currently chairs the AIA |
Austin’s Architecture in Schools program and the Small Firms’ Roundtable. Susan has been a Mentor with the University of Texas’ College of Architecture Mentorship Program, a member of the Rice Design Alliance, past president of the Rollingwood Neighborhood Association, Vice President of the Eanes TAG Association, and Fundraising Chair on the Westlake High School PTO.
Susan is well known for her creativity, organizational skills, cost management and team building. She brings these skills to every project with professionalism and attention to details. |
